Coleman Research Group, Inc. (www.colemanrg.com/) is an independent research firm giving investors (hedge funds and institutional money managers) direct access to industry professionals, through one-on-one phone consultations, in-person meetings, seminars and educational events.
We are currently searching for a Desktop Support Specialist. This position is responsible for supporting and troubleshooting all desktop technical\non-technical issues related to the end user and desktop environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Support, maintain and troubleshoot desktop, laptops, PDA's, e-mail and PBX issues
- VPN support
- MS Office support
- Monitor and ensure success of daily back-ups
- Provide timely user support to local and remote users
- Participate in technology implementations, both corporate wide and business unit based
- Maintain accurate PC related inventory information
- Interact with all technical groups
- Adhere to Asset Management policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Min 2-3 years experience with desktop support in a Windows Terminal Server environment
- Experience working with Wyse or Neoware Thin Client hardware
- Experience supporting networked environments
- Experience supporting Windows XP and Vista
- Experience working with phone systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the desire and ability to upgrade technical skills
- Strong skills in written and verbal communication and critical thinking
